Under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Ueli Rutishauser in the Department of Neurosurgery and the Center for Neural Science and Medicine, and collaborating closely with other postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, undergraduate students, research associates, and collaborators, the Postdoctoral Scientist will be engaged in groundbreaking research. Working independently but in close cooperation and in consultation with the Principal Investigator and other Research Scientists, the Postdoctoral Scientist will perform routine and complex laboratory procedures throughout training period.
The incumbent may develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols. May assist in preparation of grant proposals. Participates in publications and presentations as author or co-author.

Keeps appropriate experimental records and documentation and analyzes the results with the Principal Investigator. Operates and maintains equipment and instruments. May design and perform experiments.
Analyzes, interprets, summarizes, and compiles data. May observe MD-patient or MD-human research subject interactions as it pertains directly to research being performed.
Doctorate degree in area directly related to field of research specialization.
Works independently on research projects designed together with the mentor within area of specialization. Acquires technical and theoretical knowledge of research projects and objectives during one to four (1-4) year post-doctoral appointment. #LI-Onsite #Jobs-Indeed
