Preop/PACU RN Float Pool

What We OfferSurgical Services Float Pool- Enterprise Pre-op & PACUSchedule: Day Shift, PRN. Department requires candidate to be available for 1 shift per week as the minimum requirements. Shifts are 8 hours, within a window of 5:30A-5:30P, M-F.

Schedules done on a 6 week time tract. Department: Pre-Op/PACULocation: Candidate will float to both Charlotte and Winston Salem within both inpatient facilities and ambulatory surgery centers, 23 facilities total. This position does not have a set location.

Candidates must have a minimum of two years of both preop and PACU experience, within both inpatient & ASC settings. Conduct comprehensive pre-operative nursing assessments, including medical history, allergies, medications, and baseline vital signs. Initiate and maintain intravenous access and administer pre-operative medications as ordered & manage post-operative pain, nausea, vomiting, and other recovery-related symptoms. Prepare patients for surgery by providing education regarding procedures, anesthesia, recovery expectations, and post-operative care.

Monitor airway patency, respiratory status, oxygenation, circulation, neurological status, and pain levels during recovery. Perform ongoing post-anesthesia assessments and recognize complications requiring intervention. Assess surgical sites, drains, dressings, and drainage for signs of complications.

Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition.
