Job Requirements The Private Swim Instructor is responsible and accountable for providing Quality / No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by offering superior quality , competitive value, and outstanding service in the form of private swim instruction and coaching at all competency levels. Primary Accountabilities Quality/No Harm: Design individualized instructional programs based on age and skill level. Incorporate water safety in all manner of instruction.
Offer the finest swim instruction available in Brevard County, bar none. Maintain National Certification and stay abreast of developments in the field of swim instruction and stroke refinement. Customer
Strive to “connect” with clients on a personal, yet professional, level. Communicate effectively and professionally in all situations. Stewardship: Complete client paperwork and/or insure that paperwork/payment is properly completed before beginning lessons.
Begin and end lessons at assigned time. Properly track and record time spent with client. When appropriate, recommend that client continue with additional private swim sessions.
Work Experience QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent. Current American Heart Association BLS Certification. WSI, SwimAmerica, ASCA, or other nationally recognized Swim Instructor/Coach.
Certification, as approved by Pro-Health & Fitness Centers. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to assist clients as necessary in the water. Ability to teach all ages and skill levels.
Must perform necessary water safety skills for emergency situations, as dictated by the EAP. All duties deemed necessary by supervisor. MENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to work with all ages and skill levels.
