Or graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program with current unrestricted licensure. preferred
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
✓BAT and DOT certifications required for Medical Assistants in Occupational Medicine within 90 days of hire.
Current Medical Assistant Certification from AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or AAMP. preferred
RMA, CMA, CCMA, Med Assistant, M.A., Medical Office, Vitals, Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Back office MA, Bilingual Medical Assistant preferred
Education
✓High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency
✓Or Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program, that includes hands on patient experience as part of the curriculum, required.
✓Those who do not meet the required standards will be enrolled in the Medical Assistant Trainee Program for further development and evaluation.
Qualifications
✓1+ year(s) of experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office, clinic or similar setting required.
✓Experience must include direct, hands-on patient care in a clinical setting, such as obtaining vital signs, documenting patient history and medications, and performing clinical procedures (e.g. EKG’s, phlebotomy, administering injections or vaccines).
✓Upon hire, all Medical Assistants will undergo a clinical competency assessment and must successfully complete MA orientation.
