The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist (PT). PTAs implement selected components of patient/client interventions and obtain data related to that intervention; make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the Physical Therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort; educate and interact with Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant students, technicians, volunteers, patients/clients families, caregivers; and respond to patient/client and environmental emergency situations.
The PTA is expected to conduct themselves in an effective professional behavior manner. Our licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists work closely with medical teams to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
