BJC HealthCare is seeking a Product Utilization Mgr to join our supply chain team! Ideal applicants will have a clinical background, medical sales, or supply chain knowledge. This individual will need to ability to:discuss complex products and communicate with providers/cliniciansmanage multiple product types, follow ups and internal processesutilize tools and resources available to educate themselves on products, how they are used,, and specification requirements of clinicians strong customer service/relationship management/communicationcritically review and assess the need for specific supplies and use their knowledge/experience to assess if similar products are available Applicants must be within Mo or Il as this is a hybrid role OverviewBJC HealthCare is one of the largest nonprofit health care organizations in the United States, delivering services to residents primarily in the greater St.

Role PurposeDrives physician and clinician engagement through relationship building, analytical, and educational efforts to achieve maximum value to the organization specifically throught presentations, promotions, and utilization of preferred medical products, both at the HSO level and across the BJC system. Provides strategic, operational, and tactical support to HSO executives, physicians, surgeons, clinicians, and operational leaders for identifying, evaluating, and executing supply opportunities to support the SupplyPlus mission of superior outcomes with better value, in a transparent and collaborative manner.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain and grow effective relationships with physicians and clinicians within the HSO to engage in the identification, evaluation, pilot and execution processes for ensuring clinical efficacy of product being evaluated while maintaining or reducing total supply costs. Engage physicians before, during and after a Clinical Expert Council forum to drive active participation, address analytic questions, provide 'trade off' opportunities, and assist with quantifying savings of utilization changes in physician practice.

Integrate into existing leadership forums to support and drive the cultural change necessary to achieve supply savings while maintaining superior outcomesAbility to apply and implement expertise and advance knowledge in building total solutions by analyzing surgeon utilization patterns to identify new savings opportunities to decrease surgical case cost and quantify achieved savingsDevelop long term strategies for managing vendors locally as it pertains to introduction of new products, pilot opportunities and education, and compliance with vendor policiesMinimum RequirementsEducationBachelor's Degree - Business/Healthcare relatedExperience5-10 yearsSupervisor ExperienceNo ExperiencePreferred RequirementsEducationMaster's Degree Benefits and Legal StatementBJC Total RewardsAt BJC we’re committed to providing you and your family with benefits and resources to help you manage your physical, emotional, social and financial well-being.
