Qualcomm Health Center (QHC) is an employer health center, exclusively for Qualcomm employees and their 18 years and over dependents, located in Sorrento Valley on the Qualcomm Inc campus. There are two QHCs providing a unique opportunity to work in an employer-based health center that is nimble, multi-disciplinary, and innovative. Your job duties: F unction as part of a self-directed work team to perform in-depth psychiatric evaluations of patients and organizations throughout Qualcomm.
The Psychiatric Liaison Clinical Partner is a resource regarding differential diagnosis, therapeutic alliance and mandated reporting. These clinicians provide diagnostic impressions, including differential diagnosis and determining suicidality/homicidality/grave disability, trauma, domestic violence, Stress, anxiety. Triage and disposition of behavioral health patients, in collaboration with medical staff, to the optimal level of care to assure appropriate utilization of resources and excellent behavioral health care.
Demonstrate decision making skills and knowledge in clinical impression, collaboration, consultation, education, mentorship, and leadership. Be responsible for identifying and developing approaches to enhance behavioral health care of all persons throughout the system. Required Education/Experience/Specialized
3–5 years of licensed experience conducting psychiatric assessments in a behavioral health setting Minimum 1 year of hospital experience Knowledge of California Mental Health Law, including the LPS Act and 24-hour detention requirements Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or Psychology, and/or Doctorate in Psychology Required Certification/Registration: Current California licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, or as a Psychologist through the California Board of Psychology Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: 5 years of healthcare experience, including psychiatric assessment and disposition Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) Knowledge of differential diagnosis and the relationship between medical and psychiatric conditions At Scripps Health, you will experience the pride, support and respect of an organization that has been repeatedly recognized as one of the nation’s Top 100 Places to Work.
