Treats all patients with dignity and respect at all times during their hospitalization. Maintains confidentiality regarding the patient’s identity and psychiatric condition.
Limits relationships with patients to therapeutic activities within the confines of the overall treatment goals. Performs selected nursing procedures under the supervision of the Registered Nurse including but not limited to: Activities of daily living, i.e., bathing, feeding, dressing, toileting, and ambulating patients Phlebotomy Intake and output Vital signs EKG Bedside glucose monitoring
Graduation from high school with further preparation from one of the following sources: Minimum two years of college with academic work in psychology or related field. Graduation from an approved psychiatric technician training program. Experience working as a Clinical Associate, Nursing Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or Psychiatric Technician.
