Psychiatric Technician

Location : Thomasville Medical Center, Thomasville , North Carolina Description: The Psychiatric Tech is responsible for assisting with care of psychiatric patients from young adults up the age continuum through geriatrics under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Previous experience in inpatient behavioral health with adults is recommended. CNA Certification REQUIRED What We're Looking For

High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.

1 year, preferred. Licensure/Certification: NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. CNAI in NC, preferred.

Additional Skills (preferred): Ability to perform all MOAB physical holds. Ability to care for Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse age specific patients within facility. Why Choose Novant Health?
