This role is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication. Our Team Our passionate team of professionals focuses on individualized treatment. That means working with our patients from our first interaction to understand the issues and triggers that have brought them to Riverwoods and involving them in the creation of treatment plans that create a base for sustaining long-term recovery.
RiverWoods Behavioral Health is part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, the leading provider of medication-assisted treatment in the nation. Our team provides compassionate, high-quality counseling, therapy, medication, and guidance to patients seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder. Caseload: 20-25 patients daily
Full time, Monday - Friday On Call
FR 5pm – MO; 7am 1 weekend per month
1099 $5,000 monthly stipend Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures Education/Experience/Skills Requirements Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) REQUIRED One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate Licenses/Certifications Board Certification or Board Eligibility in psychiatry Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working Our Comprehensive Treatment Network ~23,500 Employees · ~11,400 Beds · 258 Locations · 38 States · 1 Network As a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services in the United States and Puerto Rico, Acadia Healthcare operates 258 treatment facilities across 38 states.
