Location: McCallum Place Eating Disorder Center, 231 W. Lockwood Avenue, Suite 202, St. Louis, MO 63119 We are currently seeking to add a PRN Psychiatrist to our team!
Our Team McCallum Place is a nationally acclaimed, comprehensive eating disorder treatment center for pre-adolescents, adolescents, adults, and athletes of all genders. Our location in St. Louis, Missouri is unique in that we offer on-site medical and psychiatric management combined with intensive individualized psychotherapy, making us a center of excellence and great alternative to traditional hospital settings.
We integrate personalized nutritional support and best practices throughout our treatment. Our state-of-the-art eating disorder programs and setting are designed to create an environment of structure and support for restoration and healing. Caseload: 12-20 patients per week on average
PRN onsite; as needed for vacation coverage Patient Profile : Adolescents and Adults Evaluate psychiatric stability of patients and determine the necessary level of care Collaborating and oversight with Nurse Practitioners level of care for each patient Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and collaborate with onsite medical provider for recommendations Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures Education/Experience/Skills Requirements Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) REQUIRED One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred Licensed in the state in which the practitioner will be working Eating disorder experience is preferred Licenses/Certifications Board Certification or Board Eligibility in psychiatry Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working Our Comprehensive Treatment Network ~23,500 Employees · ~11,400 Beds · 258 Locations · 38 States · 1 Network As a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services in the United States and Puerto Rico, Acadia Healthcare operates 258 treatment facilities across 38 states.
