WeCARE is an employment-focused program serving welfare recipients with medical and/or mental health disorders. Psychologists play a central role in determining employability for individuals with mental health conditions and assisting with federal disability applications.

As a WeCARE Psychologist, you support clients throughout their journey toward improved health and meaningful employment. Position OverviewThe Psychologist collaborates closely with the Medical Director to implement standard operating procedures and ensure adherence to NYC HRA contractual requirements.
Primary responsibilities include conducting Psychological Assessments for clients when:They disagree with their Functional Capacity Outcome determination, orA Functional Capacity Outcome cannot be determined following a Clinical Assessment and potential mental health barriers to employment are identified. You will also serve as a clinical resource for WeCARE staff to help ensure that program goals and contractual obligations are consistently met.
