Performs as a clinician providing individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy for child, adolescent, adult, and/or Substance Abuse patients and maintains competency and licensure as delineated through education, experience, and tests. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time:Provides diagnostic evaluations, individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy/psychoeducation to patientsProvides crisis intervention as neededEvaluate and treat individuals with substance use disordersPrepares assessment and ongoing evaluation for further treatmentMaintains proper contacts with agency/support systems of patientsParticipates in multidisciplinary treatment conferences and/or roundsCompletes all required documentation fully and in a timely mannerPerforms supervision when needed or requestedEngages in peer review activities to determine compliance with policies and regulatory requirementsSubmits billing information accurately and in a timely mannerParticipates in service line business/planning meetingsParticipates in service line marketing programs as neededOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsThe following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:Education and Formal Training: Master’s degree in Social Work or related degree requiredPhD Psychology preferredFully licensed in area of education requiredLicensure as LCSW, LCSW-A, LCMHC or LPA requiredWork
Extensive previous practice in outpatient and/or inpatient mental health facility preferredCurrent participation on Managed Care Provider Panels preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Skills in providing individual, family and/or group therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and Substance Abuse patientsWorking knowledge of basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Internet browsing and search retrievalPhysical
