The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, is seeking a Pulmonary and Critical Care Specialist with a strong background in basic or clinical sciences. Clinical duties include providing and supervising patient care in ambulatory lung clinics and inpatient services, postoperative care at the University and affiliated hospitals, performing bronchoscopic procedures, and teaching of residents and subspecialty fellows.

Research expectations are to develop a strong, funded, and independent research program in the biological sciences with relevance towards lung diseases. Active funding is highly desirable. Other duties include the teaching and training of medical students, house staff, and fellows.

Applicant must have an M. D. or M. D./Ph.

D. degree from an approved LCME medical school and satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship from an ACGME accredited program. Candidate must be eligible for Texas medical licensure and board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care.
