How you’ll make an impact in this role Join an established team Call structure: 15 days of call coverage per month Practice setting: Inpatient Access to Support staff Employed position within a nonprofit health system Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration Provide pulmonary & Critical care consultation services in the inpatient setting Manage critically ill patients in the ICU, including ventilator management and multidisciplinary care coordination Perform pulmonary procedures as clinically indicated, including bronchoscopy and related diagnostic/therapeutic procedures Develop and build an outpatient pulmonary clinic practice from the ground up Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of pulmonary conditions, including COPD, asthma, lung nodules, interstitial lung disease, sleep-related breathing disorders, and pulmonary infections Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within electronic medical record About the Facility 150 bed hospital Serving a population of approximately 130,000 Integrated referral network Part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system Why Physicians Choose Ascension Physician-led, collaborative culture Long-term practice stability National network with local autonomy Mission-centered care rooted in service What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
