Licensure
✓Valid and Active Ohio License to practice Respiratory Care.
✓Active Registered Respiratory Therapist credential through the NBRC is required.
Certifications
✓Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist credential through the NBRC required.

✓BLS and ACLS required.
Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist credential through the NBRC preferred.
Education
✓Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree
✓Type of degree: Allied Health
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Qualifications
✓Area of study or major: Respiratory Care
✓Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required:
✓1 - 3 years of job-related experience
✓Prior job title or occupational experience: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Previous pulmonary function skills are preferred. Proficiency in exercise and metabolic testing is preferred. Experience providing patient instruction in smoking cessation, COPD or asthma management is preferred.

About the role
The Registered Respiratory Therapist performing the role of Pulmonary Function Technologist-RRT is responsible for performing pulmonary diagnostic examinations including spirometry, complete pulmonary function tests and may include exercise and metabolic studies for patient populations served. This may include both inpatient and outpatient.
