Certifications
✓Free Continuing Education and certification including BLS, ACLS and PALS
✓BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
✓CRTFP - State of California Radiologic Tech Fluoroscopy Permit required
✓ARRT - American Registry Radiologic Technologists required
✓ARRT(VI) - ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiography
✓ARRT(CI) - ARRT Cardiac Interventional
One of the following is preferred
Education
✓High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
✓Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology required
Qualifications
✓1 year of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab required
✓Annual demonstration of proficient cath lab radiologic technologist proficiency required
✓Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and arrhythmia recognition or completed the basic arrhythmia course and passed the exam within 12 month of hire required
✓ARRT(CVI) - ARRT Cardiac-Vascular Intervention (still valid but not available for new examinees)
✓RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
✓RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist
