A Day in the Life Patient Registration & Care: Perform patient registration, verify insurance and demographics, room patients, obtain vital signs, explain procedures, and enter accurate information into the electronic health record. Radiologic Imaging: Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently, prepare patients and supplies, perform diagnostic imaging, and evaluate image quality according to department protocols.
Clinical Procedures: Perform waived laboratory testing, venipuncture, EKGs, urine drug screens, and breath alcohol testing; assist providers with minor procedures. Administrative Support: Answer phones and route messages, process medication refill requests, order and stock clinic supplies, obtain prior authorizations, process referrals, and scan documentation into the electronic health record. Safety & Teamwork: Follow OMH policies and procedures to promote patient and staff safety while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications What’s Required Must have passed or is eligible for the examination of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography. Continued employment is provisional based on completion and certification by the ARRT within six months. Registered technologists must be in good standing Maintains BLS certification with biannual renewal Additional Information
