Radiographer (RAD Tech)Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery – 6020 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093Work hours: PRN (As needed) – Weekdays – Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:30pmDepartment highlights:Flexible scheduleExcellent work/life balanceActive Unit Practice Council (UBC) to be sure employee’s needs are metClose-knit team with engaged Medical DirectorHere’s What You Need· Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology required upon hire· Associate’s Degree preferred· 1 year of Rad Tech experience preferred· C-ARM and surgery experience highly preferred· GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB Upon Hire Required And· ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire Required And· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 Days Required

· Explains procedures to patient or guardian/family member prior to exanm· Checks physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures· Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed· Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS· Handles patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes or other devices, and monitor patient during imaging· Processes patient information, displays proper phone etiquette and transports patients as needed Additional perks of being a Texas Health employee· Benefits include 401k, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Discount Programs, as well as other benefits.· Delivery of high-quality patient care· Strong Unit Based Council (UBC).· A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth.
