You’ll need
Certifications
✓Possession of certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
✓Certified in BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Qualifications
✓Completion of a 24 month American Medical Association approved course in Radiologic Technology.
✓Possession of current Iowa Permit to Practice.
✓Mandatory Reporter training within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment.
✓Maintain stroke education per regulatory requirements.
✓Ability to perform quality diagnostic radiologic procedures.
✓Ability to position patients.
✓Ability to communicate with patients, staff and physicians.
✓Ability to navigate and/or use an Electronic Health Record (EMR) and PACS system
✓Skill in providing diagnostic x ray services.
✓Knowledge of basic arithmetic, algebra and geometry, and their applications
✓Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
✓Active Listening skills, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
✓Ability to demonstrate clinical competence and maintain current knowledge in caring for neonate through geriatric patients.
✓Skill in effective oral and written communication in English.
