Assists the physicians and uses independent judgment in selection of technical factors using ionizing radiation.

The Cath Lab/EP Scrub Rad Tech is a key member of the interventional cardiology and electrophysiology team, working directly alongside physicians to provide high-quality patient care during invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures. This role combines advanced imaging skills with sterile scrub responsibilities to support safe and effective outcomes. Prints images of procedure., Ensures all sharps have been properly disposed of at the end of each use., Orders, acknowledges and properly charges for all exams performed in the Cath Lab., Performs proper tube warm up daily., Positions patients and various body parts for radiologic exams. Assists physician with specified exams or procedures., Prepares patients and equipment for examination by physician., Selects proper techniques and accessories for proper exposures., Stocks examination rooms with linen and other supplies.

Removes soiled linens from examination rooms., Uses proper collimation and patient shielding when appropriate.
