✓Requirements
Licensure
✓State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required at the time of hire (if applicable by state law).
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire, obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
✓American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at time of hire.
Education
✓High School Diploma required
✓Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program required
Qualifications
✓1. Knowledge of X-ray procedures and protocols.
✓2. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform X-ray testing including body mechanics
✓and patient movement.
✓3. Knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology.
✓1. Positioning patients properly for the X-ray procedure required.
✓2. Identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor.
✓3. Following infection control and radiological safety procedures.
