✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required.
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire (obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
✓American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required.
Education
✓Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required
✓High School Diploma or equivalent required
Qualifications
✓Knowledge of X-ray procedures and protocols.
✓Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform X-ray testing including body mechanics
✓and patient movement.
✓Knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology.
✓Positioning patients properly for the X-ray procedure required.
✓Identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisors.
✓Following infection control and radiological safety procedures.
Experience in a clinical setting preferred
