Radiology Tech Osteoporosis - Part Time

PLEASE NOTE: This is a part time job, 10 hours per week. W orkdays for this position are flexible.

The Radiology Specialty Technologist has a minimum of 4 years as a Diagnostic Technologist, has committed hours to FAHC, and functions at an advanced level within the Osteoporosis Center performing a wide variety of bone density procedures. He/She demonstrates progressive knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the Osteoporosis Center. A high level of commitment, advanced skills, and acceptance of responsibility has been developed in performance of dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) and quantitative ultrasonography.

A thorough knowledge of radiation procedures and safety is required. He/She assists in the clinical instruction of personnel as needed and participates in research protocols in collaboration with the principal investigator of the Osteoporosis Center and research coordinators.

Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JRCERT. ARRT certified and is licensed with the State of Vermont and eligible to become certified and maintain certification by the ISCD

4 years experience as a Radiology Technologist is preferred. Successfully complete all Radiology competencies using physics of radiation as a background.
