Radiology Tech- Outpatient (Casual Call, Day Shift)

Casual call radiography to help support our outpatient sites.

The Radiology Tech II provides health care services, X-Rays to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs X-Ray procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.

Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalentMontana Licensure (Radiology Technologist)American registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT)American Heart Association BLS1 year of experience – Clinical internship experience meets qualificationsEssential Job Functions:Performs radiographic exams as requested by all healthcare providersPerforms fluoroscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures alongside radiology providerPerforms US guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, and arthrocentesis alongside radiology providersPerforms patient education for patient prep and post care of radiology proceduresAssists radiology nursing with fluoroscopically guided PICC placementsPerforms c-arm fluoroscopy exams in the OR as requested by surgeonsCompletes documentation required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of examsPerforms ancillary duties required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and proceduresRetrieves written orders and related health information Participates in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of the hospital quality indicatorsKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesComputer applications, MS Office, EMR, internet applications and standard office equipmentAbility to work in a busy and stressful environmentDemonstrates sound judgement, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all timesStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsSelf-directed, completes assignments accurately, thoroughly and with minimal oversightAbility to work varied shiftsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to the job classification.
