Monday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am Part Time/ 32 hours weekAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds. Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely. Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques.
Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks. Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. Cross-trains into advanced modalities as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and TraumaAbility to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accuratelyUp-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facilityAbility to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionalsKnowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industryAble to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft OfficePatient care skills to care for Infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populationsMust be able to independently perform radiographic procedures to departmental standardsAbility to learn and use radiology software packages such as Cerner, Radnet, PACS, etc.
Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation SafetyAbility to perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detailKnowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physiciansThis position requires knowledge of the use of computerized and radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures in a manner consistent with minimal radiation exposure and maximum image qualityMust be able to operate radiographic equipment and work with electrical and radiant energyAbility to multi-task efficiently in a fast pace, high patient volume environmentMust have the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care that addressed the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age appropriate needs to the patient population served within the departmentEducation:Associate [Preferred]Bachelor's [Preferred]High School Grad or Equiv [Required]Work
1+ year experience preferably in radiology or a new graduate of accredited radiologic technology programLicenses and
