Licensure
✓State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed) If the job is performed in Virginia, State Licensure is required.
Certifications
✓Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) (required)
✓BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care) (required)
Associate's from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute (preferred)
Qualifications
✓Medical Terminology and the ability to use standard office equipment, required
✓Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
✓Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age, specific needs
✓Patient Population
✓Adolescents (13-17 years)
✓Infant (1-12 months)
✓Adults (18-64 years).
✓Pediatrics (1-12 years)
✓Geriatrics (65 years and older)
✓Patient centered care
✓Monitor patient conditions during examination
✓Record patient medical histories
✓Working within an interdisciplinary team

✓Communication with patients
✓Conflict resolution
1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred)
Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred)
EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
Picture archiving communication system (PACS) (preferred)
One year of Medical Assisting experience, preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills, and an ability to collaboratively work with patients, families and teams within a high-volume environment, preferred
Strong attention to details and an ability to multitask without prior instruction or direction, preferred
