Certifications
✓Certified in CPR-Basic Rescue by either the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
✓Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support by the American Heart Association.
✓Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) training preferred
PALS Certification preferred
Phlebotomy Certification preferred
EKG Certification preferred
Qualifications
✓At least one year of experience in the care of patients with critical illness within the last 5 years.
✓Demonstrated ability to work well under stressful situations.
✓Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
✓Effective oral and written communication skills
Minimum one year of experience in EMS services, preferably integrated with a municipal first response system. preferred
Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents. preferred
