Responsibilities NOW HIRING: PRN STATUS: Tuesday thru Saturday: 10am - 6:30pm OR Sunday thru Thursday: 10am - 6:30pm Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) Music Therapist Art Therapist HAVENWYCK HOSPITAL (a UHS facility) Havenwyck Hospital s a Joint Commission-accredited and licensed psychiatric hospital, overlooking Lake Galloway in Auburn Hills, Michigan. We specialize in providing comprehensive, compassionate behavioral health services to children, adolescents and adults.

For more information, please visit us at www.havenwyckhospital.com POSITION SUMMARIES: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) The Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) is responsible for the provision of Recreational Therapy services, including assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic activity interventions and discharge leisure planning.

The CTRS utilizes individual and/or group activity interventions to bring about positive changes in the client's behavior, be-it cognitive, social, emotional or physical. The CTRS educates the client in healthy coping skills, and available leisure resources to continue the client in post discharge leisure planning and involvement. The CTRS will be responsible for evaluating each client's progress and the effectiveness of therapy treatment and recording the results daily.

Will attend treatment team conferences to exchange information and observations with other members of the team, as well as assisting with the completion of the initial treatment plan and progrress summary updates. All therapy is under the provision of services according to the current standards of practice. Music Therapist The Music Therapist is responsible for the provision of Music Therapy services, including assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic activity interventions and discharge planning.

The therapist utilizes individual and/or group interventions to bring about positive changes in the patient’s behavior, be-it cognitive, social, emotional, or physical. The therapist educates the patient in healthy coping skills, and available resources to continue the client in post-discharge planning and involvement. Art Therapist The Art Therapist is responsible for the provision of Art Therapy services, including assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic activity interventions and discharge planning. The therapist utilizes individual and/or group interventions to bring about positive changes in the patient’s behavior, be-it cognitive, social, emotional, or physical. The therapist educates the patient in healthy coping skills, and available resources to continue the client in post-discharge planning and involvement.

C., Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom. For additional information visit www.uhs.com. Qualifications Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) Bachelor Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from an approved program required.

Certification by National Certification Board (NCTRC) required. Experience in a behavioral health hospital setting preferred. Music Therapist Bachelor’s Degree/Certification in Music Therapy required.

Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC) required. Minimum 1 year experience in a psychiatric setting preferred. Art Therapist Master’s Degree in Theories of Art Therapy, Counseling, or Psychotherapy from an institute identified by the American Art Therapy Association required.

Doctorate’s degree preferred. The individual must be eligible to take the National Art Therapy Registration (ATR) examination and obtain the registration within 2 years of the hire date. Experience in psychiatric setting preferred.
