✓Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy with certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required.
✓Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required.
✓Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
Qualifications
✓Successful completion of Handle With Care training including appropriate use of seclusion and restraints within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in a restraining process.
Two (2) years of experience providing Recreation Therapy in a psychiatric setting with an adult population or a Long Term Care setting preferred.

About the role

The Recreation Therapist plans, organizes, coordinates and leads recreation therapy activities. The Recreation Therapist will ensure the program is appropriate to the needs and interest and capacities of patients and is directed toward restoring and maintaining optimal levels of physical and psychosocial functioning.
