You’ll need
Licensure
✓Must have a current State license for Respiratory Care Practitioners for the State where services will be provided.
Certifications
✓Must obtain entry level certification and must have a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC.
✓Must have current certification in CPR.
✓Must have ACLS, PALs, and NRP certifications or obtain within six months from the date of hire or transfer (NRP, PALs, and ACLS are not required for those who work in Pulmonary Rehab and do not float to the inpatient areas
✓Addendums are required for 0153 Nurse Leader, 0249 Registry RN, 0252 Registered Nurse, 0235 Advanced Registered Nurse, and 0236 Expert Registered Nurse.
Education
✓Must be a graduate of a respiratory therapy program.
Qualifications
✓Must be able to be on call. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
About the role
Provides care to all patient populations for therapeutic purposes. Provides bedside diagnostic procedures as needed. Reviews and maintains respiratory care plans.
