You’ll need
Licensure
✓State licensure or certification in accordance with the primary state of practice requirement for Registered Dietitians.
✓If the primary state of practice requires licensure or certification, this must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Certifications
Relevant dietetics-related specialty practice credential (CNSC, CSP, CDCES, CSO, CSR, CSOWM, etc.), preferred
Education
✓For registration eligible graduates after Jan 1, 2024, completion of a minimum of a master’s degree by an accredited university.
✓Completion of an ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics, Dietetic Internship, Coordinated Program, or graduate-level competency-based dietitian nutritionist program.
✓For graduates after Jan 1, 2024, completion of a minimum of a master’s degree by an accredited university.
Qualifications
✓Structured training and onboarding provided for dietitians new to nutrition support
✓Nutrition support experience (TPN, tube feeding, acute care nutrition) preferred but NOT required
✓Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or registration eligible. If hired in registration eligible status, employee must successfully pass the Registered Dietitian credentialing exam within 6 months of hire to remain in the job.
✓Education is verified.
✓Demonstrated ability to apply the Nutrition Care Process in multiple patient populations and/or disease types.
✓Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply evidence-based research to clinical practice.
Ideal for experienced hospital dietitians and newer Registered Dietitians (RD/RDN) looking to grow in acute care preferred
Experience in clinical dietetics, preferred.
2 or more years of dietetics experience in a clinical setting, preferred.
Experience in managing patients in a specialty area, preferred.
