BayCare, a leading healthcare provider in Central Florida region is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team. Key
Responsible for providing optimal medical nutrition therapy to patients preparing for or post bariatric surgery through one-on-one sessions and group classes. Facilitates and coordinates bariatric patient support groups and serves as a social media moderator for the BayCare Bariatric Facebook Group. Assists center in maintaining compliance with national and insurance specific bariatric quality designations.
Performs bariatric in-services to team members and physicians. Represents bariatric program in media requests and community outreach efforts. Assist in securing patient testimonials.
Ability to build positive relationships with patients and bariatric multi-disciplinary team including nurses, psychologists, pharmacists, surgeons, admin staff, and facility bariatric patient care areas. Position may require travel to other sites as needed. Participates in patient education/clinical projects and MBS Committee meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Required: Bachelors - Food & Nutrition / Related Field Preferred: Masters - Food & Nutrition / Related Field (Effective January 1, 2024, a graduate degree is required for those not initially credentialed by 12/31/23) Required: Registered Dietitian through CDR and licensure through the State of Florida, or attainment of state licensure within 6 months of employment.
