Evaluates assessment data to identify nutrition risks, nutrition problems, criteria consistent with malnutrition, knowledge deficits, and high-risk health behaviors. Offers nutrition interventions, orders, education, counseling, and referrals to other services. May place feeding tubes or perform indirect calorimetry studies.

Provides counseling and education using evidence-based techniques that reflect appropriate health literacy and cultural sensitivity to patients with disease processes requiring nutritional management. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational EnglishBasic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft OfficeComprehensive knowledge and application of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapyGeneral knowledge of nutrient analysis, word processing, e-mail, and spreadsheet softwareAbility to search the web for nutrition research or practice updates and apply knowledge to updating reference materials, preparing for presentations, education, etc.

Bachelor's [Required]Master's [Required]Field of Study:of Divinity degreeof Science in Spiritual Care or other graduate level degree (72-hour minimum) in theology, religion or related fieldWork
