You’ll need
Licensure
✓Registered Nurse, State of CT
Certifications
✓Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
✓Additional certifications may be required in specific specialties
✓Must be able to effectively communicate information in English.
Education
✓Automatic enrollment into the Nurse Residency Program for all graduate RNs with less than one year of experience.
✓Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
✓Associate’s degree in Nursing.
✓Successful completion of nurse residency, if applicable.
Qualifications
✓One year of experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience as a licensed registered nurse.
✓Language Skills
✓Applies the principles and practices of nursing.
✓Demonstrated ability to develop, deliver and evaluate patient care.
✓Cares for a full patient assignment with expanding scope of responsibilities over time.
✓Knowledge of high reliability.
✓Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Uses communication skills to foster a healthy work environment and facilitate positive patient outcomes and experience.
✓Demonstrates cultural sensitivity in all interactions with patients/families and co-workers.
✓Strong knowledge of and demonstrated skills in providing care for age specific populations.
✓Strong ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
✓Ability to act as a preceptor and charge nurse as needed.
✓Self-directed in clinical responsibilities.
✓Ability to manage and organize multiple clinical priorities.
Membership in a professional nursing organization preferred.
