Supports department leadership activities in managing clinical excellence and safe patient care delivery to achieve compliance with professional, regulatory bodies, hospital and department standards including:Experience of Care/Patient and Family Satisfaction. Enforces strategies for sustaining a “patient-centric” culture. Communicates to the staff the quality of the patient experience through feedback.

Partners with the Nursing Leadership Team to improve the colleague experience as a necessary outcome to improve patient experience and clinical excellence; including participation in the development and implementation of initiatives geared to professional staff, nursing and all other colleagues. Working Relationship/Contacts: Has contact with patients and their families, providers, residents, students, other departmental personnel, community representatives, nursing staff and all other hospitals within the referral area.
Environment of Care/Workforce Security. In partnership with security services and administrative leaders provides leadership to enforce workforce safety and environment of care strategies for staff, patients and families. Workforce Management.
