Licensure
✓Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the applicable state.
✓Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
Certifications
✓Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
✓Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required or obtained within the organization’s designated timeframe.
✓Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
✓Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
National specialty certification, such as PCCN, CCRN, or equivalent. preferred
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
✓Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN)
✓The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
✓Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
✓Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
ADN or BSN accepted, with BSN preferred.
Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Qualifications
✓Minimum of two years of recent acute-care nursing experience required.
✓Demonstrated ability to assess and manage patients with complex medical, cardiac, respiratory, neurologic, and post-procedural needs.
✓Strong critical-thinking, communication, prioritization, and clinical decision-making skills.
✓Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Prior experience in Progressive Care, Step-Down, Intermediate Care, ICU, or other high-acuity acute-care settings. preferred
Experience with telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia recognition, non-invasive ventilation, vasoactive medication monitoring, and rapid-response escalation. preferred
Charge nurse, preceptor, or shared-governance experience. preferred
