As Needed, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death.

Job responsibilities include:Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints, and prepare patients for provider visits. Support providers by assisting with patient care, floating between providers as needed, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Manage EMR in-basket tasks, including patient messages, prescription refill requests, lab results, and provider communications.

Perform laboratory duties, including specimen collection, processing, and documentation, and administer vaccines according to established protocols. Utilize clinical assessment skills to perform telephone and in-person triage, prioritize patient needs, and provide appropriate guidance and care recommendations What We're Looking ForEducation: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

One year relevant experience, preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current RN license in appropriate state Required. ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT, preferred.
