You’ll need
Licensure
✓Maintains current documentation and required licensure, certifications, required education, and competencies in accordance with unit scope of service and professional standards.
✓Registered Nurse Licensed State of Florida or eligible compact state Upon Hire Required
Certifications
✓BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
✓ACLS Provider (ACLS) American Heart Association within 90 Days Required
✓Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days Required
✓Knowledge and skill to assess and evaluate a newborn immediately after birth and through the hospital stay to include but not limited to: resuscitation per NRP guidelines, thermoregulation needs, Apgar scoring, infant bonding, breastfeeding, and required testing to include laboratory tests.
Education
✓Technical Diploma/Certificate Nursing Required or
✓Associates Degree Nursing Required
Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred
Qualifications
✓Demonstrated proficiency in nursing, knowledge, and skills.
✓Basic computer skills.
✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
✓Demonstrates knowledge to interpret maternal and fetal well-being and is able to implement nursing interventions to respond to those changes.
✓Demonstrates knowledge and skill in nursing management of emergency situations. Displays knowledge of intrauterine resuscitation.
✓Demonstrates knowledge and ability to care for patients with epidural anesthesia during labor and in the postpartum period.
✓Demonstrates knowledge in circulating for cesarean sections including sterile technique and use of OR equipment. Displays knowledge and skills needed for post-operative care in the Recovery Room.
