The Registered Nurse is a member of the interdisciplinary team working in collaboration with the Physician. The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing care process consistent with their license and/or certification including initiation of culturally competent continuum of care including inpatient, outpatient and community settings. The Cardiac Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible to oversee any necessary coordination of the interdisciplinary surgical plan of care and provides for its consistency with the surgical treatment plan.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/LICENSE: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey or current multi state license required. BLS required.
Valid NJ Driver's License is required for all employees in the Adult and Child Partial Programs.
Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire. Specialty Experience Advanced Certification Required Certification Preferred Emergency Room City 2-4 years medical/surgical experience preferred; 2 years emergency room experience preferred. ACLS required within 6 months of initial assignment and continuously maintained thereafter.
All registered professional nurses after 24 months of initial assignment will have completion of ATCN or TNCC. Minimum of 8 contact hours of education every 1 year in basic trauma assessment, intervention and stabilization; PALS or ENPC, with PALS or ENPC provider status attained within 12 months of initial assignment and continuously maintained thereafter. All registered professional nurses after 24 months of initial assignment will have completion of ATCN.
Minimum of 8 contact hours of education every 1 year in basic stroke assessment, intervention and NIHSS to be completed by 6 months of hire and continuously maintained thereafter. Labor and Delivery 2-4 years labor and delivery experience preferred ACLS required within 6mo of hire or transfer. NRP (NALS) required within 1 year from date of hire or transfer. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit/Intermediate Care Unit 2-4 years neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience preferred.
NRP (NALS), required within 1 year from date of hire or transfer. Mother/Baby Unit (OB) 2-4 years mother/baby experience preferred. NRP (NALS), required within 1 year from date of hire or transfer.
Perinatology 3 years labor and deliver experience preferred. OB certification required Specialty Experience Advanced Certification Required Certification Preferred Operating Room Minimum 1 year medical/surgical experience desired; 1-2 years operating room experience preferred. CNOR preferred.
ACLS preferred. Cardiac Operating Room Minimum of 1 year surgical experience; 6 months of cardiac operating room preferred CNOR preferred. ACLS preferred Critical Care (ICU) 2-4 years medical/surgical experience preferred; 1-2 years critical care experience preferred.
ACLS required within 1 year from date of hire or transfer. CCRN preferred Medical/Surgical 3 Pines/3 Central 1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred. Effective February 18 th 2020, ACLS is required for all currently hired employees on 3 Pines.
Current Incumbents are required ACLS by December 31st 2021. Incumbents hired after December 31 st , 2021, will have 6 mos from date of hire or transfer to obtain ACLS. Medical/Surgical (2S, 4H, 5H, 7H, 4 M) 1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred.
Dialysis (renal, acute) 1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred; 1-2 years dialysis experience preferred. ACLS required within one year of date of hire or transfer. Psychiatry (1 West 1 Pines) PIP if not a screener 1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred; 1-2 years psychiatry experience preferred.
(QPRT) annual education required within 6 months from date of hire or transfer Crisis Prevention; Intervention annual education preferred and both are tracked by department leadership. . Specialty Experience Advanced Certification Required Certification Preferred PIP if Screener (Psychiatric intervention program) 1-2 yrs medical/surgical experience preferred; 3 years psychiatry experience one of which is in a crisis setting required.
Crisis Prevention Intervention annual education preferred and is tracked by department leadership. Current NJ State Certification as a Mental Health Screener required. Valid New Jersey Drivers License is required and MVA check upon hire or transfer Pediatrics 1-2 years medical/surgical experience preferred; 1-2 years pediatric experience strongly preferred.
PALS required within 1 year from date of hire or transfer. Radiology (radiology adm ) 2-4 years medical/surgical experience preferred; 1-2 interventional experience preferred. Critical Care experience preferred.
ACLS PALS required within 1 year from date of hire or transfer. Cath Lab (cath lab, EP) 1-2 years critical care, emergency room or telemetry experience preferred; 1 year cath-lab experience preferred. ACLS Trauma ICU 1 year trauma experience required 2 years preferred.
ACLS, at time of hire PALS & ATCN required within 1 year from date of hire or transfer Oncology (1 south/ 1 Meadow) 1 --2 years medical/surgical experience preferred. Chemotherapy experience preferred. Effective 2/21, all employees within job codes are required to ACLS; within 1 year from date of hire or transfer.
Chemotherapy certification preferred. Endoscopy Minimum 2 years medical/surgical experience preferred; 1-2 yrs. endoscopy, telemetry and critical care experience preferred. ACLS required a 6 mos from hire or transfer.
