Specialty Board Certification strongly preferred
Certifications
✓American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is required.
Education
✓Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
Qualifications
✓Coordinate care for cardiac and vascular surgery patients from referral through recovery.
✓Partner closely with assigned cardiovascular surgeons to support both clinical and operational workflow needs.
✓Review referrals, facilitate care plans, and guide patients through surgical pathways.
✓Coordinate testing, pre-surgical workups, and required documentation to ensure patients are fully prepared for surgery.
✓Support post-operative follow-up and help address care coordination needs during recovery.
✓Utilize telehealth and virtual care tools to enhance patient access and continuity of care.
✓Collaborate with colleagues across Cardiology, Vascular Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Structural Heart, and TAVR programs.
✓Participate in a strong cross-coverage model that promotes teamwork, continuity, and shared success.
