✓Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Specialty Board Certification strongly preferred.
Certifications
✓American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is required.
Education
✓Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
Qualifications
✓In this role, your day-to-day experience includes both structured teaching and clinical coordination responsibilities within a supportive pediatric specialty team.
✓Coordinate care for pediatric patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders across clinic and hospital settings
✓Provide in-depth patient and family education , including:
✓New diagnosis diabetes education
✓Insulin pump training and ongoing disease management support
✓Teaching in both classroom-style settings and at the bedside for admitted patients
✓Manage phone triage and patient communication , supporting families as a consistent clinical resource
✓Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and fellow RN Care Coordinators in a highly integrated team model
✓Participate in a rotating Saturday call schedule shared among the RNCC team
✓Progress toward independent teaching, clinical decision-making, and triage management within the first year
✓This role is primarily clinic-based and in-person , offering consistency in schedule while maintaining meaningful patient interaction throughout the day.
