ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Nurse will be responsible for implementing the Nursing Process based on established Standards of Practice and ensuring all patient care policies and procedures are adhered to in accordance with GHMC-Catskills/Garnet Health Hospital policies, the Nurse Practice Act, and the New York State Licensure requirements. The registered nurse will be able to exhibit critical thinking, effectively organize and triage/prioritize accordingly, and implement evidence-based nursing.

Compensation for this role is $48.50-$74.60 Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity) QualificationsMinimum

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred. Minimum

Previous Critical Care experience or a minimum of 1 year medical-surgical experience preferred. Required Certification/Registration: Currently licensed and registered in NY State to practice as a registered professional nurse. CCRN and/or ANCC-Med/Surg certification preferred.

Successful completion of BLS Provider Course prior to being released from unit orientation. BLS renewal not required once ACLS is obtained. Successful completion of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation course within 3 months of hire.

Successful completion of hospital crisis prevention training within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter. ACLS required within 6 months of hire. Successful completion of Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) class within 6 months of hire.
