Join Our Deaconess Team! We’re looking for compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Emergency Department team at Deaconess Illinois Medical Center. As part of our dedicated care team, you’ll provide safe, patient-centered care while working in a collaborative and supportive environment where your skills truly matter.
Job Overview: An ER Nurse provides critical care to patients in emergency situations. They assess and prioritize patient needs, administer treatments, perform life-saving procedures, and coordinate with other medical professionals. They also document patient information, manage crises, and provide emotional support to patients and families.
Quick decision-making and the ability to handle high-pressure situations are essential. Required: Certifications/Licenses: License to practice in the State of Illinois Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire. AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 3 months of start date.
Emergency Communication Registered Nurse (ECRN) preferred. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred. Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) or Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) preferred START/JumpStart (must obtain within 6 months of hire/transfer)
Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing
At least one-year previous experience in clinical unit preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team and excellent communication skills required. Requires physical stamina and emotional stability.
Starting Pay - $33.50-$50.25 Incentives: Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process. Bonus: Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics.
