Sentara RMH Medical Center is currently seeking customer service focused registered nurses to join our emergency department team. Ideal position for RN candidates who enjoy a fast paced, team oriented environment. Education Associates or Bachelor's Degree – Nursing (Required) Certification/Licensure Registered Nurse (Required) Experience Previous acute care experience (preferred) Transition to Practice/Nurse Residency Program This 10-week TTP program focuses on the orientation transition experience with intentional knowledge support and skill acquisition for practice in Medical-Surgical areas.
For new graduates, this TTP program is the start of a comprehensive 6-month residency program to support your transition to practice. Program includes: Formal delivery of fundamental nursing concepts and standards via foundational ENO (Elsevier’s Emergency Nursing Orientation) modules blended with in-person sessions utilizing case studies, gaming, simulation, and skills labs Exposure to Sentara policies and evidence-based practice guidelines as recommended by the Emergency Nursing Association (ENA) Hands-on experience in the ED alongside a trained nurse preceptor Opportunity to share your experiences/ networking with peers in a safe, protected environment A series of virtual professional development sessions with mentoring (optional for experienced nurses We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits.
The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
