Recognizes and responds appropriately to changes in patient health status. Collaborates and communicates effectively with the patient and interprofessional team to ensure quality and continuity of care. Acts as a resource and mentor for other staff members.

Documents nursing care accurately and completely. Assesses and documents patient health data systematically. Establishes nursing diagnoses based on assessment data.

Plans and implements individualized nursing interventions. Provides education to patients, families, and caregivers before, during, and after procedures. Administers and evaluates pharmacological and therapeutic treatments.

Evaluates outcomes of nursing interventions and adjust care plans as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to function at a high level in a physically demanding, high-stress environmentDemonstrated ability to work under stressful conditionsAbility to work irregular hours including call hoursBasic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft® Word and the ability to navigate Microsoft Windows based programsDisplays working knowledge of endoscopic techniquesExperience in critical care environments such as ICU, CCU, PCU, PACU, or similar settings is [Preferred]Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions, and revise the plan of care according to patient outcomesFamiliarity with Cerner electronic documentation is [Preferred]Education:Associate's of Nursing [Required]Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]Work
