✓Additional certifications may be required based on department assignment, specialty area, patient population, or state regulations.
Education
✓Associate Degree in Nursing required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Qualifications
✓Ability to assess patient conditions, evaluate interventions, and revise care plans using sound clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
✓Knowledge of professional nursing principles, clinical standards, and evidence-based practice.
✓Demonstrated competence in patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
✓Proficiency with electronic medical records, automated medication dispensing systems, and healthcare technology.
✓Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Windows-based applications.
✓Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
✓Knowledge and skill in the use of patient care equipment, including IV therapy equipment, central line devices, pulse oximetry, nasogastric tubes, Foley catheters, chest tube systems, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
✓Strong organizational, prioritization, multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
✓Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective while working in stressful or rapidly changing situations.
✓Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, families, physicians, healthcare professionals, and team members.
✓Ability to interpret EKG rhythms and complete required EKG education based on patient population and departmental requirements.
One year of acute care hospital nursing experience preferred.
