✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
Certifications
✓Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
✓Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
Education
✓Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN)
✓Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
✓Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience.
Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Qualifications
✓Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
✓May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
✓Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
