Licensure
✓Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
✓Must have current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island.
✓Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of RI.
Certifications
✓Meets and maintains clinical competencies measured by pre-determined credentialing standards, mandatory/safety education, and completion of Basic Life Support and ACLS/PALS as appropriate.
✓BLS
✓Receive their NIHSS Certification within 3 months of hire 8 hours of continuing stroke education required annually.
✓Must be physically able to perform CPR.
Certified Wound Nurse preferred (American Board of Wound Management certification preferred, Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) preferred or Certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse (CWOCN) preferred.
Education
Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred.
BSN preferred.

✓Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training
✓Competency Testing – Wanding, Safety/Environmental Rounds
✓Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span, with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
✓Minimum two years clinical experience in medical surgical nursing, ambulatory or surgical services in a hospital setting
✓Positive, caring and customer-service-oriented attitude
Previous high volume clinic experience in an outpatient setting preferred
