Education
✓Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
✓Successful completion of ONS Chemotherapy & Bio-therapy training course at time of hire or within six (6) months of hire.
✓l) verbal and written patient and staff educational programs
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Qualifications
✓Work Orientation & Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ advanced skills and an appropriate level of clinical expertise in the field of oncology and/or critical care is required.
✓Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and education in order to provide this specialty service in an outpatient environment.
✓Successful completion of clinical orientation and IV skill assessment.
✓monitor, assess, and record patient progress against a plan of care
✓convey effective verbal and written communications between oncology practice, cancer care team and related programs
✓adjust the plan of care based on assessed changes in patients status
✓handle multiple priorities
✓respond to emergency situations appropriately
✓work independently and take initiative to achieve favorable patient outcomes. Demonstrate skills in:
✓planning, implementing, and evaluating patient services
✓making effective decisions
✓critical thinking and problem-solving skills
✓j) crisis management
✓k) adapts hours of availability to variable and changing needs of the infusion center
✓m) chemotherapy teaching
Additionally, one (1) year outpatient experience is preferred.

✓Flat Rate: 47.38
